It’s a fun action adventure filled with signature Ryan Reynolds witty comedy and a handful of great action sequences. An enjoyable ride, especially watching with my 9-year-old, but the plot gets bogged down under its own time travel trope. I appreciated 80s SciFi references like the E.T. homage in the forest and some Star Wars nods. The kid (Walker Scobell) is great and reminds me a bit of Henry Thomas’ performance in E.T., also I would have loved seeing more of Zoe Saldana.
Overall a satisfying quick snack that doesn’t leave much of a mark either way. I do like the Drew Struzan-inspired poster.

Sounds perfect for a tv room campout with the fam! I am liking the Struzan inspired poster too. I’m looking at his posters and realizing I own one! Star Wars: A New Hope.

I lost about 50 movie posters when I moved from Finland, which I got from movie distributors in Slovenia. Now I only have one, the one you just mentioned.

😭 I’m sure the posters were not the only casualties of that long-distance move. Glad you still have Star Wars though😎 The 2nd one is the one I have – with all of the characters faces.

This one is by Struzan (for others I’m not sure):
